This coming Sunday 15 June I will be participating at Gefiltefest, London’s Jewish Food Festival. I’m incredibly nervous but very excited to be taking part, and it would be wonderful to see you there at what promises to be a fascinating and delicious festival.
One of my heroes, Claudia Roden (who is also the festival’s Patron) is also presenting, alongside a number of other wonderful chefs. And this photograph is a picture of me meeting her at last year’s festival – as you can see I could barely contain my excitement when she kissed Reuben’s hand. Reuben now of the unwashed black hand fame.
I’ll be running two workshops:
A Foraging Walk through Golders Hill Park – an informal group trail through the beautiful park, herb garden and meadow to spot (and sniff) some of the edible and medicinal plants. I’m bringing some homemade goodies to try too!
A Pickling Workshop – where participants will be able to make these delicious Pickled Herrings and take a jar home with them!).
